According to Ment Mengistu, he placed ad to sale his cellphone via craigslist. The suspect contacted him and asked to buy it. Ment drove to North Arlington and met the guy (looking nice). It was not an end, as after several couple of hours, Ment saw another ad for sale of same cellphone along with same contact number (the suspect buyer had). It was totally shocking for him. Anyways he just made a plan with the help of his friend who will become a buyer of that particular cellphone and will meet him at a specific place. According to Ment, he thought he would call police over there. Finally the time came when the cellphone was going to be sold to his friend at a specific meeting point. When he called the police, they just refused that Ment might be joking, as it is duty of police or some detective.

He came to get his newly bought Ipad but unfortunately he got robbed by the seller. According to police, the suspect was armed and showed his gun, took the money and ran away.

Another case happened in Orange Place, where a man was robbed by the seller of Honda Civic. He came to the concerned person with the money to buy the car. In all this the suspect robbed the money and put his foot on car’s accelerator and just disappeared.

An ad was placed on craigslist platform to sale a motor bike. In return, a man and his friends went and visited house to check the bike. But actually they were robbed at gunpoint.

According to police, there were three men who robbed them on Sunday night. It was 7:45 pm when the incident actually happened. In all this, there was no injury at all. It all happened due to show off via craigslist ads. After this specific robbery, there was no arrest at all on the spot. It all happened in Hartwell Drive.

Police investigated and got some suspects. On the other hand, they warned the public to carefully use such platform for online buying and selling purpose. It was available for sale in silver color, 2003 model and good condition as well. The couple contacted the concerned person to get it for their family. They wanted to buy this car for 2,800 US dollars (less than the original sale price). After some negotiation, they reached the vacant house in Jonesboro. After meeting a stranger man there, they were just looking at the car when a person came their and asked for money on gunpoint. In return of this, the couple lost their 2,800 Dollars, lady’s purse and 100 more dollars as well.

It’s all about a “craigslist ad” placed to sale two iphones and a robbery as well. A person living in Indianapolis decided to sale his iphones via craigslist portal, so he just placed ad to sale them in affordable price. Two men came in his house and asked for deal. According to the victim, they both were showing their interest to buy these iphones. Suddenly during the deal, they pulled out their guns and started threatening. According to victim, he didn’t know that the suspects are armed and will behave so. He was also armed and tried to pull out his gun as well for his safety. But it didn’t work so well and they started demanding money by force. In the result, they didn’t only bring his phones but cash as well. He also lost his personal phone in all this. According to victim, the suspects were in their 40’s and not looking as professional robbers. One of them had a beard and came into by driving a maroon car.

A craigslist transaction gone bad

Have you ever heard about any craigslist transaction gone bad? Well! Yes it happened. A man decided to get “men’s chain necklace” advertised by a craigslist platform. Trenker was the man who was going to buy it by a man in a “well populated plaza”. But unfortunately it was a small apartment where he met the concerned person. Two men were there outside the apartment and one of them picked the necklace and just started running. At that moment, trenker warned him that police will catch you in a couple of minutes so stop there and all. During all this, he was shot by one of them by bullets. One bullet was gone into his chest. According to Trenker, he was putting his fingers in to holes (made by bullets into body).

It was one of the miracles, as a child come and robbed that specific necklace from his hands. Anyways within a few hours, police arrested the suspects and started investigation. These suspects were charged with counts of murder and robbery. They all were standing in the age of 20. 2 suspects are passing their days in jail.
